Nancy Strazzinski – Instructor

Nancy Strazzinski started her cosmetology career over 30 years ago in southwest Oklahoma following in her mothers footsteps. As a junior in high school, the school offered cosmetology as a class, and she decided to take it and have it as a “back up” plan. It was tough finishing high school, participating in many extra curricular school activities while also working a job. Her cosmetology instructor challenged all the students to do their best. It was an exciting after high school graduation, knowing she would be able to start a new career. Nancy states that, ” I honestly can not imagine a more rewarding career where I am able to help make so many people feel better about their hair, skin and image”

In 2002 on her way back to Missouri from east Tennessee, she had the thought to want to teach students and pass on her knowledge and experience. She contacted a friend in Carthage, and the friend recommended Nancy to get in contact with Erma Hill at the Neosho Beauty College. An interview was set up, and Nancy left her home in east Tennessee and drove 13 hours back to Missouri to talk to Erma about her school and becoming an instructor. Nancy got the job, and started working at Neosho Beauty College in September 2002.

Nancy says to her, it is a most rewarding and challenging career. Its a challenge to assess if a student learnsĀ  better by seeing, hearing or actually doing. Nancy is also rewarded and proud when graduates come back and thank her for helping them to set goals and attain them.

Nancy is currently part of the Neosho Beauty College staff, teaching Cosmetology and Esthetics. She is also employed at Allure salon in Neosho, specializing in hair color, and skin care. When Nancy is not teaching or working, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family, two children, and three grandchildren.

“I believe if you love your career, you will enjoy being there. What can be better than that, while also getting paid to do what you love? The best advice I can give to a graduate, is to always continue your education. In the past 30+ years, I have gone to classes from Redken, Matrix, Chi, Tammy Taylor Nails, certified Matrix corrective color specialist, certified hair extensions, and teaching methodology.. You never should want to stop learning. Walt Disney once said…”The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing”. Come see us at Neosho Beauty College to start your new career.”
